Who can join the RoboRovers?

Anyone can join! As of 2023, there are over 3,300+ FRC teams in the world! Team 8117 is just one of them and welcomes all EAHS Students grade 9 thru 12. 

 

When does Team 8117 meet?

With enough projects and opportunities to keep us busy throughout the year, Team 8117 meets once a week during the regular school year. Not all meetings are mandatory but consistent participation is greatly encouraged.

During late winter and early spring, the Build & Competition season starts on the first Saturday in January. Build meetings take place Tues. Wed. Thur. and Sat. until the Competition season ends in mid April.

 

Where are the meetings?

Right at school! But Competitions do offer the opportunity to travel around Pennsylvania and New Jersey, with the World Championship in Texas! 

Other off season field trips have included programming boot camps in Philadelphia, and local factory tours in the Lehigh Valley.

FIRST inspires young people to be science and technology leaders and innovators by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering, and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.
