Team 8117: The RoboRovers

The Easton RoboRovers applied to be an official team in 2018, but lacking funds they had to withdraw before the 2019 season began. Later, an engineer from Picatinny Arsenal heard that we wanted to start a team, he offered to sign up as a mentor for our team and give us funding money. Following him our beloved mentor, Mr Hale, was looking for a robotics team to join. He had moved here from Virginia where his daughter was on a robotics team. Our mentor Nimish joined our team when his daughter was on the team, and is still mentoring us today. The Easton RoboRovers first season with FIRST was 2020, although we never got to compete because of Covid. Ever since that we’ve been the team you know us as today, 8117! Students 9-12 are on our team, all unique from different backgrounds and having many different personalities. That is what makes the Easton RoboRovers a team. We all work together to accomplish outstanding things.
